Making Flowers From Waste Successfully Completed in Poland
The project's second activity came to a close in Dąbrowa Białostocka with an exhibition of flowers made from waste, a certificate ceremony, and time together in Białystok.
The second major activity of the Erasmus+ KA210-ADU project "Empowering Adults with Disabilities with Flowers Made from Waste" has been successfully completed in Dąbrowa Białostocka, Poland. Hosted by Fundacja GAMA in early August 2026, it brought together participants and educators from all four partner countries.
Where the first activity in Buzau focused on collecting and classifying waste, this one turned those materials into finished work. Working groups made flowers from egg cartons, cardboard, plastic bottles and rolled newspaper, and wet-felted a long runner of wool flowers together — pieces that were then shown in an exhibition alongside felted scarves and garments.
The programme also made room for the region around it. Partners visited a local centre and its craft and weaving rooms, and spent time in Białystok, gathering for a group photo in front of the Branicki Palace.
At the closing ceremony, participants received their certificates of attendance from Fundacja GAMA.
The techniques developed in Poland now feed into the project's intellectual output: a multilingual digital guide on waste classification and flower-making, led by AZIE (Romania), which each partner will present at a national multiplier event.
The partnership meets again for the closing "Conclusion & Evaluation" meeting, hosted by KICK in Dornbirn, Austria, in February 2027.
