1. Who is responsible
This website presents the Erasmus+ small-scale partnership Empowering Adults with Disabilities with Flowers Made from Waste (EmpowerEU), co-funded by the European Union. The project is coordinated by KICK — Kommunikation Integration Coaching Kulturmanagement, Dornbirn, Vorarlberg, Austria, together with partner organisations in Türkiye, Poland and Romania.
For any question about your data, write to empowereu@gmail.com.
2. Contact form
When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message. They are sent to the project mailbox (empowereu@gmail.com) so we can answer you; the website itself does not keep a copy.
To block spam, your IP address is used to count submissions for one hour and is stored only as a one-way hash during that time.
Legal basis: answering your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your request and for the project's documentation duties.
4. Analytics, cookies and browser storage
We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, via Google Site Kit) to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept All in the cookie banner. If you choose Essential Only, Google Analytics runs without cookies and without identifying you (Google Consent Mode). Google may process data on servers outside the EU; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act). To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser; the banner will appear again.
The site also stores a few small entries in your browser that are needed for it to work and contain no personal data:
theme— your light or dark mode choicegf_cookie_consent— your cookie banner choice
Logged-in editors also receive WordPress's own login cookies.
5. External content and links
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and small images (country flags, the Erasmus+ logo) from external servers. Your browser then connects to those servers, which see your IP address. Links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and OpenStreetMap only send data to those services when you click them; their own privacy policies apply there.
6. Hosting and server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider records technical data when pages are requested (IP address, date and time, page, browser). This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); they are kept only as long as the provider needs them for that purpose.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to empowereu@gmail.com to use any of these rights.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Austria the Datenschutzbehörde, or the authority in your own country. Visitors in Türkiye have the corresponding rights under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
9. Changes to this policy
We update this page when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
